But I can't wear it until I make another one! Very frustrating. Nonetheless, I've completed the cuff for mitten number 2.
And it looks like I'll be knitting numbers 3 & 4 soon. DD -- who usually thinks my knitting is, well, let's just say, less than fashionable -- has requested a pair in purple and white.
However, her fingers get cold, so I'm going to re-design the striped portion of the hand so that it has a stranded pattern all the way up. This will be a real challenge considering I'm such a stranded newbie. But I'm just so happy that she wants me to knit something for her!

Looks beautiful! I have yet to attempt mittens, but given how cold it is here, I think they might be a good project. Also congrats on the dd asking you to knit something.
