Then I the mother of this young lady (lighting the Hanukkah candles here)
tells me that her little girl is in love with this:
These are the fingerless mitts I gave my friend for Hanukkah. How can resist a young one with such good taste? Luckily, these are knit with a bulky yarn, so it shouldn't take too long.Thirdly, I have been offered the opportunity to be a test knitter! Fortunately, they are baby/toddler socks.
To quote the classic song from Oklahoma: I'm just a girl who can't say no!

No wonder your daughter wants a pair of those mittens; they're beautiful. I haven't done stranded work yet. And how sweet of you to make fingerless mitts for your friend's daughter. I tend to knit for others more than myself also, not sure why.
I'm picking up what you're putting down. Am already ridiculously behind, and I *still* haven't started the pair of socks I've been promising myself since this summer.
Your mittens are beautiful! Can't wait to see the ones you make for your daughter!
Oh, I know the feeling. To feel valued, to feel loved, to feel useful...as a knitter!
BTW, thanks for your kind comment on Madtown Mama about babysitters you know. Keep an eye out; I'll pm you on Ravelry with my email address!
It is very hard to resist when people ask for knitting - I know exactly how you feel! I want to knit myself something but I'm in the middle of something for my mother...
Happy New Year!
